what health problems can mold cause??

I have some black mold under my sink from a leaky sink. We are planing to reno the kitchen in the fall which will get rid of it but I am worried about it until then. It is under the sink in the cupboards so it is not exposed but you can smell the damp or mold when you are at the sink in the kitchen. I have been getting headaches…could it be cause by the mold? I also have a 11 month old baby, is she being exposed to harmful spores? I just don’t know how dangerous mold is or if I am worrying for nothing. If it is dangerous then I might consider speeding up the kitchen reno. Thanks!!!

  1. sinus infections, upper and lower respiratory infections as well as your head aches can occur from the presents of mold. it may also make you feel tired and run down. if i were you you i would try to get the kitchen done sooner.

  2. Megan, i tried to email you directly but your profile does not allow emails. please please please get out of this home immediately. If you have toxic mold in your home your headaches are from your brain swelling from the toxic mold. It can cause irreversible brain damage if this is the case. No amount of money can return your health. This stuff is so dangerous i cant even explain it to you in one sitting. Once the spores break off from the original source and get airborne the spores become 400 times more toxic. that means the spores are sitting on your furniture and getting into your bodies through inhalation.
