What is the best method of getting rid of mold?

I live in a basement appartment and have mold in my bathroom there is no method of ventalation in there, and I was told that they had painted over top of it in the past.I now am not going to bath my child in there (haven’t in the past, but she is getting to big for the baby bath tub.)
First of all, that is VERY dangerous to live in and have your child around that mold. Mold spores can be very harmful to your body. If you MUST stay there, then you need to use KILZ to cover it up and to make sure that it doesn’t spread.
Pay a professional because there are laws set up to protect the environment. And not to mention the fines for illegal dumping.
Start by increasing the airflow and keep the air moving (fans work)
Then get a dehumidifier
Also get some anti mold product to kill the mold. Bleach works really well on tile, but has limited use because bleach is itself harmful.
If you paint over it you are only helping it grow. Make sure there are no hidden leaks from above.
Buy yourself a bottle of clorox bleach and a spray bottle.. Fill the bottle with 1/2 bleach 1/2 water and spray on mold Let sit to kill mold them with clear water wash everywhere there is mold to make sure it is really clean . You might have to do several times to rid mold. I alsowould contact land lord and tell them of mold they should do something to get rid of it.
