we called the fire inspector there coming in a couple days we found mold in our basement. now my bf thinks it’s black mold..and someone told me to go get checked out that there could be something in my lungs..there’s afew question’s i have with this..
1. what effects could this do to my unborn child? i’m 33 weeks and we’ve been here for just 4 in half months so i would have been about 15 weeks..
2. is there any long term effects i should watch for in my child when he is born and growing up?
3. what will happen if the fire chef finds this place unsuitable and that it’s not safe fore us to be here? will the place be condemned and we most leave right away?
4. if it is black mold and this place gets condemned ..what would my landlord legally have to do? like would he have to help us find a proper place or give us back our last months rent and be done with it?? I live in the niagara region ont canada..

Do You Know About The Candida Albicans Treatment Options Available?

There has been an increase in the number of medical conditions that can be, at least partly, attributed to a westernized lifestyle. A Candida Albicans infection is one of them. Although there are a number of cases where the candida infection cause is unknown, there does tend to be specific conditions that allow candida albicans to thrive. So, if you have an infection, what candida albicans treatment options are available to you?

Firstly, the symptoms of a candida infection can often be misdiagnosed. For instance, an infection in the vagina is often self-diagnosed as a yeast infection, when it may actually be a bacterial infection. Therefore the treatment that is used can be ineffective, or even help the infection grow quicker.

Unfortunately, the same can be true of an overgrowth of candida in the intestines. This can sometimes be thought of as a bacterial infection, and antibiotics prescribed. This however, can have a worsening effect on the symptoms as antibiotics kill off the friendly bacteria, which suppress the candida albicans growth.

This is why a person who has a suspected yeast infection should speak with their doctor to get a proper diagnosis before commencing treatment

Once a candida infection is confirmed, then the doctor will normally recommend one of a number of anti fungal medications, which are either available on prescription or over the counter. This medication will come as either a lotion or as an oral supplement.

However, it is important the root cause of the infection is identified and eliminated or treated. Otherwise there is the risk of reoccurrence once the course of treatment has been finished.

Here are some simple tips that can be taken to improve the body’s chance of fighting the candida infection and also to reduce the risk of reoccurrence. The adoption of these tips is dependent upon the type of candida infection that you may have.

Identify ways to improve the immune system, which will reduce the chance of a candida infection taking hold

Check that any medication you are taking is required as this may be suppressing the immune system.

Check for any soaps or cleaning materials that are being used that could be irritating the skin or the vaginal area.

Make sure that if you wear dentures and you have oral thrush that they fit correctly, poorly fitting dentures they can effect the mucous membrane and allow the candida to thrive.

If the infection is in the intestines then bolster the diet with probiotics, which are the friendly bacteria that normally keep the candida albicans in check.

You can follow an anti candida diet, which restrict foods that contain sugars, yeast, fungus and mould, fermented foods and certain diary products. These diets starve the candida, while simultaneously feeding the body with nutritionally rich foods that help build the immune system.

Fibre glass composites offer countless possibilities for creative, prefabricated projects. They are both light and hard wearing (they have even been used to make bullet-proof screens amongst the more unusual or little known uses for them) and can be moulded into almost any shape. Fibreglass – also known as GRP – mouldings use cut or woven glass fibres which are mixed with a plasticised resin and then used to line a mould. GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Plastic. Once the plastic has hardened, or cured, it can then be unmoulded and used straight away. The glass fibre used in GRP mouldings is available in a variety of formats. It can be used as cut strands which are mixed with resin and fired from a gun, or hand layered as mats or woven fabric. There are numerous special gels and metal powders you can buy to finish the piece, making it possible to create stunning objects d’art for the home, garden or workplace as well as a number of other uses. Casting GRP mouldings begins with a foam or wooden pattern, which is used to create a replica of the finished piece. From this, a production mould (also made from fibre glass) is constructed, and one or more fibreglass mouldings cast from that. Finding The Right Kind Of Toxic Ingredients About Cosmetics

Have you ever examined the ingredients listed on the labels of your cosmetics or other skin care products? Do you know what those ingredients are?

What you may not realize is that many of the skin care products and cosmetics you are buying contain ingredients that are not only harmful to your skin, but also to your long term health. Many of these ingredients are known carcinogens (cancer-causing substances) and are used by the cosmetic industry simply because they are cheap!

Harmful Ingredients Commonly Found in Skin Care Products and Cosmetics
The following are just some of the synthetic chemicals that have been identified by scientific studies to be harmful to our health.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate (ALS)
Often described as being “derived from coconut” to disguise their toxic nature, these chemicals are commonly used in shampoos, toothpaste, foaming facial and body cleansers and bubble bath. SLS and ALS can cause severe skin irritation, and are easily absorbed into the body, building up in the brain, heart, lungs and liver, leading to potential long term health problems. SLS and ALS may also cause cataracts, and prevent children’s eyes from developing properly.

Paraben Preservatives
Parabens are widely used in cosmetics, deodorants, skin care and baby products to prolong their shelf life. They are known to be highly toxic and have caused rashes and allergic reactions. Recent scientific studies in the UK found a strong link between the use of parabens and the increasing rate of breast cancer in women. Researchers found a high concentration of parabens in 90% of breast tumors tested.

Propylene Glycol
Found in many beauty creams, cosmetics and cleansers, Propylene Glycol can cause skin rashes and contact dermatitis, and has been shown to cause damage to the kidneys and liver.

Isopropyl Alcohol
Alcohol is used as a solvent in many skin care products. It causes skin irritation and strips the skin of its natural acid mantle, promoting the growth of bacteria, moulds and viruses. It may also cause premature ageing of skin.

DEA (Diethanolamine), TEA (Triethanolamine) and MEA (Monoethanolamine)
These substances are harsh solvents and detergents that are used in cosmetics and face and body creams as an emollient. They can cause allergic reactions, and long term use of DEA-based products (such as Cocamide DEA) have been linked to an increase in the incidence of liver and kidney cancer.

Aluminum
A common ingredient in antiperspirants, aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer’s Disease.

Mineral Oil
Derived from petroleum (crude oil), mineral oil is commonly found as a main ingredient of face and body creams and cosmetics. Baby oil is 100% mineral oil! It coats the skin like a plastic film, clogging pores and stopping the skin from eliminating toxins, which can lead to acne and other skin disorders. Other petroleum based ingredients include paraffin wax, paraffin oil and petrolatum.

Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
Used as a thickener in skin care products and cosmetics, PEGs interfere with the skin’s natural moisture balance, causing an increase in ageing and leaving the skin vulnerable to bacteria.

Talc
Talc is a soft mineral used in talcum powders and cosmetic powders. Scientific studies have shown that routine application of talcum powder to the genital area is linked with a three-to-fourfold increase in the development of ovarian cancer. Inhaling cosmetic powders containing talc may also be harmful to long term health.

How To Avoid These Toxins
Examine the labels of your cosmetics and skin care products carefully, and learn to recognize ingredients that are harmful to your skin and to your health. Many web sites have lists of potentially harmful ingredients in addition to those shown above (e.g. Environmental Working Group).

Don’t be fooled by the words ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ on the front of the label. Many products contain at least one or two natural or organic ingredients, but they may also contain harmful synthetic chemicals as well.

Whenever possible, choose products with 100% natural ingredients such as essential oils and herbs. Your skin will love you for it!
